TFT Patch 18.4 Notes: Solar Reroll and Lunar Buffs

Solar reroll is back on the table. Here is our read on every trait, unit, augment and Wisp change in TFT Patch 18.4, plus the 7 October mid-patch update.

Teamfight Tactics patch 18.4 takes power away from Emblem-reliant verticals and easy frontlines and hands it to low-cost reroll lines. Solar reroll gains the most. Executioner, Juggernaut, Veigar, Kennen and Ashe are nerfed, Lunar, Blossom and Sprykin get stronger deep breakpoints, and a 7 October 2026 mid-patch update tops up several weak 1- and 2-costs.

TL;DR

  • Solar reroll returns: Xayah, Rakan, Varus, Kayle and Shen are all buffed. The mid-patch update also gives Varus more starting mana.
  • Executioner and Juggernaut are nerfed: Executioner (4) held a 73.2% top-4 rate and Juggernaut (6) held 61.0% before the patch. Expect both to drop, not vanish.
  • Deep verticals are buffed: Lunar, Blossom, Sprykin, Riftbeast and Eclipse all gain power. Elderwood and Coven get mixed changes.
  • Top 5-costs come down: Kennen and Ashe are nerfed. Ivern and Lux are adjusted.
  • Emblem lines lose power: Elderwood Emblem, Fae and the Prismatic Trait Ladder are all nerfed.

Full changes in Teamfight Tactics patch 18.4

The cards below cover the main patch first, then the 7 October mid-patch update. Earlier patches live on the TFT patch notes hub.

Mid-patch update

Good to knowMid-patch update: 7 October

The B-patch fixes bugs, disables performance-heavy Arenas, stops some trait augments from appearing too often and corrects two Wisp costs, alongside targeted balance changes. This adjusted update is targeted rather than sweeping. It tops up weak 1- and 2-costs and pulls Heart of Steel for now, so re-check your econ augment habits before queuing.

1 cost unit

Unit

Camille

Buffed
Ability Damage
150/225/375 ADchanged to 150/225/400 AD
MID.GG analysis

This second buff to her 3-star damage stacks with the main patch. She sat at a 34.4% top-4 rate before the patch, so she stays a low-priority reroll until results improve.

Unit

Varus

Buffed
Mana
30/120changed to 20/110
MID.GG analysis

With more starting mana and less max mana, Varus casts sooner. Combined with his attack speed buff, he is the most improved Solar reroll 1-cost.

2 cost unit

Unit

Alistar

Buffed
Heal
200/260/320 APchanged to 230/300/400 AP
Spell Damage
100/150/225 APchanged to 180/270/420 AP
MID.GG analysis

His spell damage rises sharply and his heal grows, which turns Alistar into a frontline that also threatens kills. That matters for 2-cost reroll boards that need a tank who contributes damage.

Unit

Gromp

Buffed
AP Form Splash Damage
160/240/375 APchanged to 180/270/435 AP
AD Form Base AD
45changed to 50
AD Form Attack Speed
0.7changed to 0.75
MID.GG analysis

Both forms gain power on top of the main-patch buff. That makes Gromp a flexible 2-cost you can slot into AD or AP boards without losing much.

Unit

Murkwolf

Buffed
Empowered Attack Damage
60/90/135 ADchanged to 65/100/160 AD
MID.GG analysis

The empowered attack gains the most at 3-star. That favors players who reroll Murkwolf rather than using him as a stage 2 filler.

Unit

Warwick

Buffed
Spell Damage
215/325/500 ADchanged to 230/345/535 AD
Spell Healing
20%changed to 25%
MID.GG analysis

More damage and more healing help a unit that held a 44.9% top-4 rate before the patch. He becomes a more reasonable 3-star target in low-cost reroll lines.

3 cost unit

Unit

Mama Beak

Buffed
Base AD
55changed to 60
MID.GG analysis

Extra base AD adds to her ability buff and makes a Riftbeast reroll line around her worth testing.

4 cost unit

Unit

Nidalee

Adjusted
Note
Nidalee Armor Penetration matches Tooltip (as per 18.3 fix)
MID.GG analysis

This adjusted entry is a bug fix: her armor penetration now matches the tooltip, following the 18.3 fix. Expect no meaningful power shift from it.

Wisps

Wisp

Stat Boosters

Nerfed
Armor and MR Boost
10changed to 8, Attack Speed Boost: 8% ⇒ 6%
MID.GG analysis

The nerf lowers the armor, magic resist and attack speed these give. Generic stat rolls become a weaker default.

Wisp

Combust

Buffed
Explosion Damage
12%changed to 15%
MID.GG analysis

The explosion deals more damage, which rewards boards that trade kills quickly in dense fights.

Wisp

Mana-Rich Soil

Buffed
Mana Reduction
25/18%changed to 20/15%
MID.GG analysis

This mid-patch buff changes its mana reduction values. Consider it when a carry needs one early cast to swing the fight.

Wisp

Search Party

Buffed
Cost
3/1gchanged to 1/0g
MID.GG analysis

The buff corrects its cost downward, so it is an easy pickup on low-gold rolls.

Wisp

Three MeCost

Buffed
Note
9gchanged to 10g
MID.GG analysis

This buff is listed as a cost correction from the mid-patch fix. Treat it as a price change rather than a new reason to roll for it.

Augments

Augment

Challenger’s Grace

Buffed
Buff Duration
3schanged to 4s
MID.GG analysis

A longer buff duration helps backline carries that need sustained uptime to finish fights.

Augment

Giant and Mighty

Buffed
Health

MID.GG analysis

Extra health helps frontline-heavy boards, especially now that Juggernaut is nerfed.

Augment

Group Hug I

Buffed
Resists
6changed to 7
MID.GG analysis

One more point of resists is a small buff. It slightly favors wide boards that spread the bonus.

Augment

Group Hug II

Buffed
Resists
9changed to 10
MID.GG analysis

A small resist buff makes it a little safer on tank-heavy reroll boards.

Augment

Heroic Grab Bag

Buffed
Initial Gold
4gchanged to 6g
MID.GG analysis

More initial gold makes this buff more attractive on stage 2 econ starts.

Augment

Hold the Line

Buffed
AD
9%changed to 11%
AP
10%changed to 11%
MID.GG analysis

Higher AD and AP make it a cleaner combat augment for boards that keep a single row of tanks.

Augment

Spirit of Redemption

Buffed
Heal
7.5%changed to 9%
MID.GG analysis

A larger heal helps sustain-reliant frontlines win long fights.

Augment

Early Learnings

Nerfed
Baseline AD/AP
5%changed to 3%
MID.GG analysis

The nerf trims its baseline AD and AP, so its value now leans on the leveling side rather than combat stats.

Augment

Electrocharge I

Nerfed
Damage By Stage
30/50/70/90changed to 25/40/60/80
MID.GG analysis

The damage cut at every stage makes it a weaker pick for tanky frontlines that took it for free damage.

Augment

Future Focused

NerfedSilver
Gold
8changed to 5
MID.GG analysis

With less gold, this Silver augment is a slower econ pick. Favor it only when you plan to play for the late game anyway.

Systems

System

Combat Arrival and Departure

Adjusted
Riot’s reasoning

Cutting 2 seconds from every fight saves close to a minute each game.

Note
Reduced Combat Arrival and Combat Departure phase times by 1 second each
MID.GG analysis

This adjusted rule shortens every round slightly, leaving less downtime between fights to scout and plan positioning.

Traits

Trait

Blossom

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Blossom works well as a splash for upgraded Wisps, but its deep breakpoints are underexplored, so (7) and (9) gain more stats.

AD/AP
12/30/45/50%changed to 12/30/50/55%
MID.GG analysis

Blossom (7) sat near average at a 53.4% top-4 rate. This buff gives the vertical a real reason to exist beyond the splash.

Trait

Eclipse

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Eclipse comes online too late in fights and its first executes on low-health targets lack impact, so the delay before execution is shorter.

Initial Delay before execution
10schanged to 8s
MID.GG analysis

Eclipse already held a 73.5% top-4 rate on a tiny pick rate, so this buff makes a rare activation even more decisive when you hit it.

Trait

Lunar

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Few players go deep into Lunar, so its higher breakpoints gain AP, which also makes Lunar Lux more appealing.

Ability Power
7/10/14/18%changed to 7/12/16/20%
MID.GG analysis

Lunar (4) already held a 73.1% top-4 rate on a pick rate under 1%. This buff makes Lunar Lux boards a real target rather than a surprise.

Trait

Riftbeast

Buffed
(7) AD/AP/Attack Speed every 5s
5%changed to 6%
MID.GG analysis

The (7) buff supports a Mama Beak reroll line. Riftbeast (7) sat near average at 51.4%, so it needs testing before it earns a spot.

Trait

Sprykin

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Sprykin (7) needs an Emblem and a 5-cost to hit yet underperforms, so its BFF bonus grows, and at (7) that bonus reaches every Sprykin.

(7) Stats
45% HP + 45% ASchanged to 55% HP + 55% AS
MID.GG analysis

Sprykin (7) already held a 64.8% top-4 rate on a small sample. The buff rewards players who find the Emblem early.

Trait

Executioner

Nerfed
(3/4) Bleed Damage
30/40%changed to 25/35%
MID.GG analysis

The bleed nerf hits the (3) and (4) breakpoints, which held 62.8% and 73.2% top-4 rates. Executioner should stay viable, but Emblem-stacked carries lose their edge.

Trait

Fae

Nerfed
Riot’s reasoning

Fae relies too heavily on its Emblem, so trait power moves into buffs for three Fae units.

AD/AP Per Pixie
5/8%changed to 4.5/7%
MID.GG analysis

The nerf hurts Emblem-first Fae boards, while Xayah, Rakan and Tristana carry more of the power themselves.

Trait

Juggernaut

Nerfed
Riot’s reasoning

Juggernaut (6) is too easy to hit and flex for the frontline it provides.

Juggernaut Durability
20/33/45%changed to 20/30/42%
MID.GG analysis

Juggernaut (6) held a 61.0% top-4 rate, so this nerf lowers the floor of the default frontline. Look to Spirit Visage tanks or other traits to fill the gap.

Trait

Coven

Adjusted
Riot’s reasoning

Coven’s Stage 2/3 cashout at 130 essence is too consistent for a cashout trait and beats the other Coven lines, so its rewards drop.

130 Cashout
2x Componentschanged to 1x Component + 6 gold
130 Cashout
1x Component + 2★ Elise + 1★ Cassiochanged to 1x Component + 2★ Elise
130 Cashout
1x Random Itemchanged to 1x Component + 2★ Camille + 3g
130 Cashout
2★ Caitlyn + 1x Component + 3gchanged to 2★ Caitlyn + 1x Component
MID.GG analysis

These mixed changes push Coven players away from the early cashout. Coven was already struggling, with Coven (5) at a 31.2% top-4 rate, so play it only when the trait falls into your lap.

Trait

Elderwood

Adjusted
Riot’s reasoning

Elderwood (7) leans on Emblems, so with Emblem lines coming down the Deepwood Protector gets stronger while Elderwood (9) takes a small net loss.

(7) Deepwood Protector Mana
20/70changed to 20/60
(7) Deepwood Protector Resists
65changed to 70
(9) Health Multiplier for Elderwood Plants starring up
155%changed to 140%
MID.GG analysis

These mixed changes favor Elderwood (7) boards that never find the ninth unit. Elderwood (9) at 87.8% is too small a sample to chase deliberately.

1-cost units

Unit

Camille

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Camille has been conditional since last patch’s nerf, so her 3- and 4-star damage rises.

Damage AD
150/225/375/640changed to 150/225/400/665
MID.GG analysis

The buff only pays off when you hit 3-star. She remains a speculative reroll after a 34.4% top-4 rate.

Unit

Kobuko

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Kobuko mostly appears as a Blackthorn sacrifice for tank stats, so a better AP ratio aims to make him worth itemizing.

Heal AP
265/315/460/575changed to 285/335/480/595
MID.GG analysis

The healing buff helps AP-itemized Kobuko frontlines. He is still a niche pick outside Blackthorn boards.

Unit

Rakan

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Rakan and Xayah gain ratio buffs, amplified by Fae stats, to give Rakan item value and revive their Solar reroll line.

Shield
270/320/415/490changed to 290/340/435/510
MID.GG analysis

A bigger shield makes Rakan a worthwhile item holder in Solar reroll. That matters most when you pair him with Xayah at 3-star.

Unit

Xayah

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Xayah and Rakan gain ratio buffs, amplified by Fae stats, to revive their Solar reroll line.

Ability Damage
68/102/155/165changed to 73/108/165/175
MID.GG analysis

Xayah is the main carry the Solar buffs target. Her 43.9% pre-patch top-4 rate leaves room to rise, but it is too early to call her a top comp.

Unit

Varus

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Varus has underperformed all set, so extra attack speed lets him cast more often and smooths out his missed casts.

Attack Speed
0.7%changed to 0.75%
MID.GG analysis

With the mid-patch mana buff on top, Varus is the 1-cost most likely to gain in Solar reroll.

Unit

Veigar

Nerfed
Riot’s reasoning

Veigar was the strongest 1-cost reroll in 18.3, so his damage drops to demand stronger starts and specific Artifacts.

Ability Damage
200/300/450/765changed to 190/285/430/725
Low HP Ability Damage
300/450/675/1015changed to 285/430/640/1000
MID.GG analysis

The nerf hurts low-roll Veigar games most. Commit to him only off a strong stage 2 or a fitting Artifact.

2-cost units

Unit

Gromp

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Gromp’s AD form casts too slowly and its AP form’s splash is too low, so both get help.

Mana AD Form
20/80changed to 0/70
Splash damage AP Form
160/240/360/610changed to 160/240/375/625
MID.GG analysis

The AD form now starts with no mana and casts faster, which makes AD Gromp a real reroll option.

Unit

Kayle

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Kayle and Shen get smaller buffs to support Solar and other low-cost reroll lines that were nearly missing last patch.

Ability Damage
62/92/105/115changed to 65/97/110/115
MID.GG analysis

The buff is small and mostly helps Solar boards. Her 45.7% top-4 rate suggests she remains a support piece rather than a carry.

Unit

Shen

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Shen and Kayle get smaller buffs to support Solar and other low-cost reroll lines.

Shield
350/430/550/700changed to 375/450/575/725
Ally Shield
200/275/375/475changed to 225/300/400/500
MID.GG analysis

Larger shields for himself and an ally make Shen a sturdier Solar frontliner, which helps the 1-cost carries survive to their cast.

Unit

Teemo

Buffed
AOE Damage
55/82/130/215changed to 55/82/155/240
MID.GG analysis

The buff lands only at 3- and 4-star. It rewards Teemo reroll and does little for him as a filler.

3-cost units

Unit

Hecarim

Buffed
Mana
30/110changed to 50/110
MID.GG analysis

More starting mana means Hecarim casts sooner. That helps him engage before the enemy backline fires.

Unit

Mama Beak

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Mama Beak is used as an item holder but never as the reroll star, so her 3-star damage rises alongside a Riftbeast (7) buff.

Ability Damage
22/30/48 ADchanged to 22/30/52 AD
MID.GG analysis

Reroll players get a new 3-cost line to test. Her role as a holder for Aphelios and Draven items stays intact.

Unit

Rammus

Nerfed
Riot’s reasoning

Three-star Rammus stalls fights long enough for Azir and Zyra to clean up, so his 3-star shield drops.

Shield
400/550/725 APchanged to 400/550/700 AP
MID.GG analysis

The nerf touches only 3-star, so Azir and Zyra boards lose a little stall time but keep their core.

Unit

Rengar

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Rengar falls off too fast to justify rerolling for 3-star, so his 3-star damage rises.

Ability Damage
255/385/615 ADchanged to 255/385/650 AD
MID.GG analysis

The buff matters only if you commit to 3-star. It feels best when Rengar has stacked plenty of takedowns.

Unit

Tristana

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Tristana is the third Fae unit to gain power moved out of the trait.

Ability Damage
160/240/385 ADchanged to 175/265/420 AD
MID.GG analysis

Higher damage makes her a better standalone carry while Fae itself is nerfed. She starts from a low 45.3% top-4 rate.

4-cost units

Unit

Brambleback

Adjusted
Riot’s reasoning

Brambleback’s leap is inconsistent, so power shifts from the leap into his more reliable cast for fights where he is stuck on a tank.

Ability Bonus AD
80% ADchanged to 100% AD
Leap Damage
155/235 ADchanged to 135/205 AD
MID.GG analysis

These adjusted numbers smooth out his bad fights against big frontlines at the cost of some backline burst.

Unit

Ezreal

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

With Executioner coming down, Ezreal gets a small buff so his success depends less on Executioner Emblem carries.

Small Cast Damage
250/375 ADchanged to 270/405 AD
MID.GG analysis

He suits fast 8 AD boards that cannot find Executioner Emblems.

Unit

Nidalee

Adjusted
Riot’s reasoning

AP Nidalee gains damage to add an AP carry for fast 8/9 boards, while AD Nidalee loses damage for dominating mid-game fights.

AP Form: Small Spear Ability Damage
170/255 APchanged to 185/275 AP
AD Form: Ability Damage
210/315 ADchanged to 200/300 AD
MID.GG analysis

These mixed changes point you toward the AP form on leveling boards. AD Nidalee takes a slight hit in the mid-game.

Unit

Sivir

Buffed
Ability Damage
190/285 ADchanged to 200/300 AD
MID.GG analysis

A modest damage buff helps AD fast 8 boards that use Sivir as a secondary carry.

5-cost units

Unit

Ashe

Nerfed
Riot’s reasoning

Ashe gains a mana refund when her arrow misses, and because she was already a top 5-cost her unitemized damage drops.

Note
NewNow refunds 70% Mana if the arrow hits 0 enemies
Mana
20/80changed to 0/80
Percent Health Damage
2/3%changed to 1.5%
MID.GG analysis

This nerf mainly hits Ashe as a 1-star drop with no items. Itemized Ashe, who held a 63.1% top-4 rate, should stay strong.

Unit

Draven

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Draven gains a mana refund on missed axes and a better bleed ratio because he has struggled as a carry since his bounty nerf.

Note
NewNow refunds 50% Mana if the axes hit 0 enemies
Bleed Damage
140/210 ADchanged to 150/225 AD
MID.GG analysis

This buff makes Draven a more reliable late-game carry. Mama Beak boards that hold his items benefit most.

Unit

Ivern

Adjusted
Riot’s reasoning

Damage amp scales multiplicatively with AD, AP and crit, so Mushroom hexes lose power while Rock hexes gain resists to match Tree hexes.

Greenfather Hexes: Damage Amp
8/12%changed to 6/10%
Greenfather Hexes: Bonus % HP
8/12%changed to 6/10%
Greenfather Hexes: Resists
8/12changed to 10/14
MID.GG analysis

These mixed changes shift Ivern’s value toward tankier hexes. That slightly lowers the damage ceiling of the boards around him.

Unit

Kennen

Nerfed
Riot’s reasoning

Kennen ramps too hard at 2-star as enemies burn, so his shield’s AP ratio drops to make him easier to kill.

Shield
250/350 APchanged to 230/300 AP
MID.GG analysis

The nerf makes Kennen easier to focus down, but he held a 64.6% top-4 rate. Edge of Night remains one of his best items.

Unit

Lux

Adjusted
Riot’s reasoning

Solar Lux is rarely worth fielding, so her Solar bonus changes to make her the highest-damage Lux variant.

Solar bonus
NewDeal 15% bonus damage. For each unique 3-star champion fielded, deal an additional 12% damage.
MID.GG analysis

This adjusted bonus rewards boards with several unique 3-star units. That makes Solar Lux a strong cap for reroll even outside full Solar.

Items

Item

Crownguard

Nerfed
Riot’s reasoning

Crownguard is the best tank item on the units that can build it, so it gives less AP when the shield expires.

Bonus Ability Power On Shield Expire
25changed to 20
MID.GG analysis

The nerf trims value from AP tanks that relied on it. Expect Spirit Visage to take some of its slots.

Item

Spirit Visage

Buffed
Riot’s reasoning

Spirit Visage is the weakest tank item despite its flexibility, so it gains durability.

Durability
8%changed to 10%
Radiant Item Durability
15%changed to 18%
MID.GG analysis

The buff makes it a cleaner default tank item, which matters now that Juggernaut’s durability is nerfed.

Emblems

Item

Elderwood Emblem

Nerfed
Riot’s reasoning

Elderwood Emblem is already strong, so it loses resists as Elderwood (7) itself gets stronger.

Resists
35changed to 25
MID.GG analysis

The nerf lowers the value of slamming Elderwood Emblem on a carry. The trait now carries more of the power.

Blossom Upgrade Attack Speed Bonus

MID.GG analysis

A bigger attack speed bonus favors single backline carries such as Ezreal or Xayah.

Wisp

750changed to 800
Blossom Upgrade HP Increase
750changed to 800
MID.GG analysis

More health is a small buff for frontline-heavy boards.

Wisp

Improved Reach

Buffed
Cost

Blossom Upgrade Cost
2 goldchanged to 1 gold
MID.GG analysis

A cheaper cost makes this buff an easy add on tight-gold rolls.

Attack Speed on Kill
115%changed to 130%
Blossom Upgrade Attack Speed on Kill
140%changed to 160%

MID.GG analysis

A longer duration protects carries that need time to ramp, so this buff favors scaling backlines.

Wisp

Forest Guide

Nerfed
Cost
5 goldchanged to 6 gold
Blossom Upgrade Cost
4 goldchanged to 5 gold
MID.GG analysis

The nerf raises its cost, so you need a little more gold to take it.

Mana Restored
80changed to 70
Starting Mana
20changed to 10
Radiant Mana Restored
90changed to 80
Radiant Starting Mana
20changed to 10
MID.GG analysis

The nerf cuts both the restore and the starting mana, so casters get less value from it.

Wisp

Drizzle

New
What it does

Gives your whole team a mana top-up once combat passes the 8-second mark, with a bigger refill when Blossom upgrades it.

Riot’s reasoning

Low-cost Wisp variety is thin, so new 0-cost options appear under 10 gold to make low-gold rolls more varied and stop players forcing Salvager.

MID.GG analysis

Pick it on caster boards that need a second cast in long fights.

Wisp

Grove Armor

New
What it does

Adds armor and magic resist to your highest-health champion, with larger bonuses on the Blossom upgrade.

Riot’s reasoning

Low-cost Wisp variety is thin, so new 0-cost options appear under 10 gold to make low-gold rolls more varied.

MID.GG analysis

It helps any board with a single main tank. That is a useful patch now that Juggernaut is nerfed.

Wisp

Returning Friend

New
What it does

Grants a temporary Training Dummy holding Giant’s Belts, with an extra belt on the Blossom upgrade.

Riot’s reasoning

Low-cost Wisp variety is thin, so new 0-cost options appear under 10 gold to make low-gold rolls more varied.

MID.GG analysis

It suits fragile backline boards that need a body to absorb an engage.

Wisp

Room for a Shroom

New
What it does

Hands you a few random mushrooms, with one extra on the Blossom upgrade.

Riot’s reasoning

Low-cost Wisp variety is thin, so new 0-cost options appear under 10 gold to make low-gold rolls more varied.

Blossom Upgrade
Gain 3 random mushrooms.
MID.GG analysis

It is a flexible low-gold pickup. It rewards players who are already broke from rolling in Stage 4 and 5.

A few rule changes shape every game. Combat arrival and departure are each 1 second shorter. Below 20 HP, the shop stops offering stat consumables, Golden Goose, Major Gambit and Barter, so a last-life roll can no longer leave you broke with no combat Wisps. Four new 0-cost Wisps (Drizzle, Grove Armor, Returning Friend and Room for a Shroom) appear only when you hold under 10 gold, from Stage 4-1 to 5-7. Polymorph Wisps now show only in the first 2 seconds of Planning Phase.

Construct-A-Companion, Forge-A-Friend and Dark Ritual are back in the pool, and Dark Ritual returns nerfed. Heart of Steel is buffed on paper, but the mid-patch update disables it for now. The same update also fixes trait augments that were showing up too often and corrects two Wisp costs.

What to play

Contest the buffed reroll units early and pivot away from Emblem stacks. These are the picks we would test first.

  • Xayah (1-cost Solar reroll carry): five Solar units are buffed together, so the line that nearly disappeared last patch is live again. Her 43.9% pre-patch top-4 rate means you should watch early results before forcing her.
  • Lux (5-cost Lunar or Solar carry): Lunar now gives more AP from (3) upward, and her Solar bonus is adjusted to make that version her highest-damage variant. She already held a 68.1% top-4 rate.
  • Nidalee (4-cost AP carry for fast 8): her AP form’s spear damage rises and her AD form loses damage. Build her as the AP carry when you level aggressively.
  • Mama Beak (3-cost Riftbeast reroll): she is buffed in both the main patch and the mid-patch update, and Riftbeast (7) is buffed behind her. It is an untested line, so treat it as an experiment.
  • Ezreal (4-cost AD carry): he is buffed while Executioner is nerfed, so he no longer needs two or three Executioner Emblem carriers to win fights.
Watch outComps to fade

Veigar reroll is still viable, but it now needs a strong start or the right Artifact. The Coven 130 cashout pays out less. Kennen and Ashe are nerfed, yet they held 64.6% and 63.1% top-4 rates before the patch, so they remain strong when you hit them. For fundamentals on when to roll and when to level, see our guides.

Frequently asked questions

What changed in TFT Patch 18.4?

TFT Patch 18.4 moves power from Emblem-reliant vertical traits and easy frontlines into low-cost reroll units. Executioner, Juggernaut, Fae, Veigar, Kennen and Ashe are nerfed, while Solar reroll units, Lunar, Blossom, Sprykin and Riftbeast are buffed. Augments, items and Wisps also change, and four new 0-cost Wisps arrive for low-gold rolls.

Is Solar reroll good in TFT Patch 18.4?

Solar reroll should be playable again in Patch 18.4. Xayah, Rakan, Varus, Kayle and Shen all received buffs aimed at reviving the line, which was almost absent last patch. Their pre-patch top-4 rates were low, with Xayah at 43.9%, so treat it as a promising comp to contest rather than a guaranteed top-tier one.

Was Executioner nerfed in TFT Patch 18.4?

Yes. Executioner was nerfed in Patch 18.4, and its bleed damage at 3 and 4 units drops from 30/40% to 25/35%. Executioner (4) held a 73.2% top-4 rate before the patch, so it should stay competitive. Ezreal was buffed so his results depend less on Executioner Emblem carries.

What is in the TFT 18.4 mid-patch update?

The 7 October 2026 mid-patch update buffs Camille, Varus, Alistar, Gromp, Murkwolf, Warwick and Mama Beak, adjusts several Wisps and augments, and temporarily disables Heart of Steel. It also fixes trait augments that appeared too often, corrects two Wisp costs and disables a few Arenas that hurt performance. PC gets it before mobile.
