Gumayusi LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

Gumayusi’s 2026 with Hanwha Life Esports: season stats, champion pool with pro win rates, builds, his T1 career and Worlds titles, and where he starts at Worlds 2026.

Gumayusi, real name Lee Min-hyeong, is a South Korean League of Legends bot laner who plays for Hanwha Life Esports in the LCK. He played for T1 from 2021 to 2025, winning Worlds in 2023, 2024 and 2025. He then moved to his current organization in December 2025 and won MSI 2026 in his first year there.

He is known for a deep marksman pool and for drafting outside it when the game calls for it. Lane bullies like Caitlyn and Lucian sit next to utility picks like Ashe and a bot-lane mage, Ziggs, that has become one of his main weapons this year.

2026 season stats

Gumayusi is winning at about the same rate in 2026 as he did in his final T1 season, but his games look different. In 2025 he went 102–60 with a 4.73 KDA. This year his KDA is lower, mostly because he dies more often and takes fewer kills, while his assists have gone up.

The resource numbers moved the other way. He is farming more per minute, earning more gold and dealing more damage per minute than in 2025. Yet his share of the team’s damage is slightly smaller and his kill participation is lower. Read together, that points to a bot laner who spends more time on waves and side lanes and less time at every skirmish, on a roster where damage is spread across more than one carry.

Two other shifts stand out. His vision score per minute is up, and he has played more champions than the 18 he used in 2025. That wider pool fits a first year spent learning a new team’s drafts.

Gumayusi’s champions and pro win rates

Ziggs and Jhin are his most played champions of 2026, and they tell opposite stories. Ziggs, a mage he moves into the bot lane, has a clear winning record on a real sample and deals some of his highest damage per minute. Jhin has a losing record despite one of his best KDAs: he survives games on Jhin more often than he wins them.

Caitlyn is his clearest strength. She has the best record of any champion he has played five or more times this season, backed by his best KDA on a regular pick, and she features among his best games below. Lucian and Ashe have also won far more than they have lost, which gives him an aggressive lane option and a utility option behind his main carries.

Yunara is the one regular pick that has not worked, with a losing record and the lowest KDA among his main champions. Ezreal, Senna and Kog’Maw have only a handful of games each, too small a sample to call them strong or weak. For opponents drafting against Hanwha Life Esports, the practical read is that banning one bot laner does not shut him down. He has a working answer in both the marksman and mage pools.

Pro builds

His builds favor range, burst and siege over all-in fighting, and they are consistent enough to copy. You can compare them with the standard paths on our champion pages.

Ziggs: burst with Teleport

On Ziggs he almost always opens with Luden’s Echo and Shadowflame, then adds Rabadon’s Deathcap and Void Staff. That is a pure damage path, with Zhonya’s Hourglass only an occasional defensive answer. The rune page is Arcane Comet with Sorcery and Inspiration.

The Summoner spells are Flash and Teleport rather than a defensive bot-lane spell. Teleport on a bot laner tells you the plan: he gives up some lane safety for map presence, so he can rejoin a wave or a fight after every back.

Jhin: Rapid Firecannon first

Jhin is built around Rapid Firecannon and Infinity Edge. The next item rotates between Youmuu’s Ghostblade, Hexoptics C44 and Lord Dominik’s Regards. He runs Fleet Footwork with an Inspiration secondary, plus Barrier and Flash, a safer setup for a champion he uses to survive lane and pick targets from range. His Jhin rune page changes more than his others, so treat the listed page as the most common one rather than a fixed choice.

Caitlyn: the most fixed build

Caitlyn is the build he changes least: Infinity Edge and Hexoptics C44 first, then Rapid Firecannon and Lord Dominik’s Regards. Lethal Tempo with a Sorcery secondary (Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm) and Barrier with Flash complete the setup. This page wants to win lane on Caitlyn’s range, take turret plating and keep scaling into the late game.

TipWhat to copy in solo queue

If you play Caitlyn, copy his order rather than single items. Infinity Edge and Hexoptics C44 come first, then Rapid Firecannon, and the fourth slot is where you can react to how much armor the enemy has. Check the latest patch notes before you lock a build in, since item changes can reshuffle these paths.

Career: from T1 to Hanwha Life Esports

Gumayusi’s pro career has run mainly through two organizations. He had a short spell with Seoul from 18 December to 31 December 2018. He joined T1 on 13 January 2021 and played bot lane there until 9 November 2025, the day he won Worlds 2025.

The T1 years built steadily. He placed 3rd–4th at Worlds 2021, then took first in both the LCK 2022 Spring regular season and its playoffs. Later that year he reached the finals of MSI 2022 and Worlds 2022 and finished second in both.

From 2023 those near misses turned into titles. He won LCK 2023 Spring and then Worlds in 2023, 2024 and 2025, adding the Esports World Cup 2024 along the way.

He joined Hanwha Life Esports on 6 December 2025 and won almost at once. He took first in LCK 2026 Rounds 1–2, first in the LCK 2026 Road to MSI and then the MSI 2026 title on 12 July 2026. Few players change organizations after a world title and keep winning in their first split, which makes his move one of the cleaner transitions in recent LCK history.

Achievements

The Worlds titles define his standing. Winning in 2023, 2024 and 2025 means every opponent he faces internationally is drafting against a reigning or former world champion, and his signature marksmen draw bans on reputation alone.

MSI 2026 matters for a different reason. MSI had eluded him at T1, where he finished second in 2022 and 2025 and third in 2023 and 2024. Winning it in his first season with Hanwha Life Esports showed that his level was not tied to one roster.

Key takeawayWhat the record says

His results point the same way across both organizations.

  1. He won Worlds in 2023, 2024 and 2025 with T1.
  2. He won MSI for the first time in 2026, with his new organization.
  3. He has taken a domestic title with both teams, LCK 2023 Spring with T1 and LCK 2026 Rounds 1–2 with Hanwha Life Esports.
