Rest LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

Rest is CTBC Flying Oyster’s veteran top laner, with titles in the LMS, PCS and LCP. Here is his 2026 season, champion pool, builds and career.

Rest is Hsu Shih-Chieh (徐士傑), a Taiwanese top laner who has played for CTBC Flying Oyster since February 2022 and for Taiwanese teams since 2017. He is one of the most decorated players in the Pacific scene, with league titles in the LMS, the PCS and the LCP. He is known for a wide top-lane pool built on lane bullies and teamfight carries: Renekton, Gnar, K’Sante and Rumble in the pro data, with Aatrox, Gangplank, Jayce and Camille the champions his career is remembered for.

In 2026 he is the starting top laner for an organization headed to Worlds, and the numbers below show a busier, more demanding season than the title run of 2025.

2026 season stats

Rest’s 2026 has been a heavier workload with weaker results. He has already played far more pro games than in all of 2025, across three LCP splits, and his team has won a smaller share of them. Last season ended at 33–21 with a 61.1% win rate, the year CFO won the LCP Mid Season and Season Finals; this year the win rate sits clearly below that mark.

His individual profile has shifted toward carrying. His damage per minute and his share of the team’s damage are both up on 2025, his farm is a touch higher, and he dies slightly more often. Kill participation has dropped, which fits a top laner who spends more time holding a side lane and less time arriving for every skirmish.

The takeaway is that CFO now leans on Rest for damage, not only for a stable lane. On Rumble or Jayce he is a primary threat in teamfights, which raises his ceiling but also means a lost lane costs the team more than it did in 2025.

Rest champions and pro win rates

Rumble is Rest’s main champion in 2026, his most played by a clear margin, and it has held close to an even win rate. It gives CFO a top laner who can push his wave, threaten teamfights with zone damage and matter without constant jungle attention.

Renekton is the surprise. It is the champion he has played most across his whole career and his second most played this year, yet it carries a losing record in 2026. Jayce tells a similar story: a career strength that has gone poorly on a real sample this season. Sion, mostly a spring choice, also struggled over a meaningful number of games before it disappeared from his games after May.

The champions that have worked best on a real sample are K’Sante and Ambessa, both with winning records over five or more games, while Gnar sits at an even split. Beyond those, the pool fans out into one- and two-game picks such as Nasus, Udyr, Rek’Sai, Galio, Kled and Camille. They are too small a sample to judge, but they show a player his team trusts to answer a draft with almost anything.

Pro builds

Rest’s builds point to one idea: flexible damage that keeps him relevant in teamfights, with Flash and Teleport on all three of his main champions so he can join those fights from a side lane.

Rumble

On Rumble, Liandry’s Torment is his near-automatic first item, paired with Bloodletter’s Curse for a burn-and-shred combination that makes his ultimate punish grouped teams. Zhonya’s Hourglass and Riftmaker are the usual follow-ups, depending on whether he needs to survive dives or fight for longer.

The rune page is unusual for a pro top laner: First Strike in Inspiration with Cash Back, Triple Tonic and Cosmic Insight, backed by Bone Plating and Unflinching from Resolve. It rewards winning early trades with extra gold, which speeds up that first item, while the Resolve runes keep him alive in the lane.

Renekton

Renekton runs a classic bruiser build. Sterak’s Gage is the constant, with Black Cleaver or Stridebreaker after it and defensive options such as Randuin’s Omen or Spirit Visage when the matchup calls for them. Conqueror with Legend: Haste and Last Stand says he plays Renekton for extended fights, not only for an early lane window.

Gnar

Gnar takes Sterak’s Gage and Trinity Force as a core, then Wit’s End into magic damage or Randuin’s Omen into physical threats. Fleet Footwork with Cut Down gives him sustain through long lanes and extra damage into the frontline he has to fight through. Item choices move with each patch, so check the patch notes before copying any of these builds into ranked.

Recent pro games

His latest games come from LCP 2026 Split 3 in late August, in series against MVK Esports and Team Secret Whales. Rest cycled through most of his pool in that stretch, from Renekton, Rumble and Gnar to Camille, Nasus and Galio, which shows how often CFO used the top-lane pick to answer the opposing draft.

Career so far

Rest started at J Team on 3 June 2017 and stayed until 29 August 2021. That spell brought his first titles: the LMS 2019 Summer regular season and playoffs, then PCS 2020 Summer.

He joined CTBC Flying Oyster on 11 February 2022 and has been its top laner ever since. The team won the PCS 2022 Summer Playoffs in his first year and PCS 2024 Spring after that, before the 2025 LCP season turned into the best run of his career.

The arc is one of steady presence rather than movement: one long spell at J Team, one long spell at CFO, and league titles in every league he has competed in. Few players have stayed relevant through that many changes to the region’s competitive structure.

Titles and achievements

The 2025 season is his peak. CFO won the LCP 2025 Season Kickoff Qualifying Series, the Mid Season and its Qualifying Series, then the Season Finals and the Season Finals Playoffs, closing the year with a title on 21 September 2025. In between, the team finished 3rd–4th at First Stand 2025, a top-four result on an international stage.

The earlier titles matter for his standing too. The LMS 2019 Summer double and PCS 2020 Summer with J Team, plus the PCS titles of 2022 and 2024 with CFO, give him championships across three eras of Taiwanese and Pacific League of Legends.
