Wei LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

Wei, the jungler behind two MSI titles with Royal Never Give Up, now plays for Invictus Gaming. Here are his 2026 stats, champion pool, builds, career and Worlds 2026 start.

Wei (Yan Yang-Wei, 闫扬威) is a Chinese LoL jungler who plays for Invictus Gaming in the LPL. He is best known as the jungler behind Royal Never Give Up’s MSI titles in 2021 and 2022, and as part of the Bilibili Gaming roster that finished 2nd at Worlds 2024. He joined iG on 19 July 2025 and goes to Worlds 2026 with them.

His style is skirmish-first. The champions he returns to year after year, Wukong, Xin Zhao, Vi, Lee Sin and Viego, all want to fight early and decide the map through contact rather than pure farm. Born 9 November 2002, he has spent his entire pro career in China across three organizations.

2026 season stats

Wei’s 2026 is busier than his 2025 but less successful. He has already played more pro games this year than in all of last season, yet his win rate is lower than the 61.3% he posted across 119 games in 2025, a season split between Bilibili Gaming and iG.

The drop is in results, not in involvement. Compared with last year he takes a larger share of his team’s damage, farms more per minute and is present for more of iG’s kills, while his KDA sits slightly below last season’s. That is the profile of a jungler who is being asked to carry more of the map, not one who has gone quiet.

His vision output is up as well, which fits a jungler spending more time around objectives and side-lane setups. The champion count is the other change: he has played fewer different champions so far this year than across 2025, a sign he is leaning on a core of bruisers and engage picks rather than drafting widely.

Wei’s LoL champion pool and pro win rates

Xin Zhao is Wei’s most played champion of 2026, and it is also where his season has hurt most: the record on it is clearly negative and his deaths on it run high. It stays in his pool because it is a career staple and a flexible blind pick, but the results this year do not back it up.

Jarvan IV is the pick that works. Among the champions he has played often, it carries his best win rate and KDA, built on very high assist numbers. That fits how Wei wants to play: start the fight for his laners, then stay alive in it. Nocturne is the other reliable option, with a winning record and more damage than his engage picks.

Pantheon and Wukong sit at the other end. Pantheon produced a heavy losing record before he set it aside after May, and Wukong, his most played champion across his career, has a losing record this year. Naafiri gives him his highest regular damage output but has hovered around even.

Qiyana and Lee Sin are the promising pocket picks, with good results on samples of only five or six games, too few to call them strong. Maokai and Skarner are the tank options, and both came out in the LPL 2026 Regional Finals, which shows iG is willing to put Wei on a frontline jungler when the draft needs it.

Key takeawayReading Wei's 2026 pool

Three things to take from the tables before his next series.

  1. Jarvan IV is his most dependable champion on a real sample, this year and across his career.
  2. Xin Zhao is his most played champion of 2026 but has a losing record.
  3. Qiyana and Naafiri are his damage options when iG wants the jungler to carry.

Pro builds on Xin Zhao, Jarvan IV and Nocturne

Every one of Wei’s top three champions runs Conqueror, and Guardian Angel shows up on all three. That is the build of a jungler who expects to be at the front of long fights and wants insurance when he goes in first. There is no lethality or one-shot setup here: he wants games decided by extended skirmishes.

On Xin Zhao and Jarvan IV the core is the same pair, Sundered Sky and Black Cleaver, followed by Guardian Angel. Both take Inspiration as the secondary tree with Magical Footwear and Cosmic Insight, a choice that saves gold on boots and adds haste over a long game. The difference is in the details: Xin Zhao runs Legend: Alacrity and Last Stand, while Jarvan IV takes Legend: Haste and Cut Down for more ability uptime and damage into high-health targets.

Nocturne is the exception. Wei builds Experimental Hexplate into Stridebreaker and takes Domination as his secondary tree with Cheap Shot and Ultimate Hunter. Hexplate and Ultimate Hunter point at the same goal, getting his R back more often, because on Nocturne the R is the play that opens the backline.

TipCopying his Jarvan IV build

If you jungle Jarvan IV or Xin Zhao in Ranked Solo/Duo, Conqueror with an Inspiration secondary and a Sundered Sky plus Black Cleaver core is a clean template for skirmish-heavy games. Item values move between patches, so check the latest patch notes before you copy a pro build, and use our guides for the pathing that gets you into those early fights.

Recent pro games and form

Wei’s latest games come from the LPL 2026 Grand Finals against Anyone’s Legend on 12 September 2026 and the LPL 2026 Regional Finals against Top Esports and JD Gaming. Across those series he moved between Vi, Maokai, Skarner and Jarvan IV for engage, Qiyana and Naafiri for damage, and Xin Zhao and Lee Sin as skirmishers, a sign that iG drafts the jungle around the matchup rather than one comfort pick.

Career: Royal Never Give Up, Bilibili Gaming and Invictus Gaming

Wei’s career started at Royal Never Give Up, where he played from 21 December 2020 to 29 June 2024. His first season was an immediate success: he won LPL 2021 Spring and the playoffs, then MSI 2021. He added the LPL 2022 Spring Playoffs and MSI 2022, establishing himself as one of the core pieces of RNG’s international run.

He moved to Bilibili Gaming on 5 July 2024 and the switch paid off at once. BLG won LPL 2024 Summer and the LPL 2024 Summer Playoffs, then reached the Worlds 2024 final and finished 2nd on 2 November 2024. He left BLG on 22 May 2025.

Invictus Gaming signed him on 19 July 2025, and he won the Demacia Cup 2025 with them, the title dated 3 January 2026. His 2026 has been a full year with iG, ending domestically in the LPL 2026 Grand Finals and Regional Finals before Worlds. Achievements

Two MSI titles are the headline of Wei’s résumé: MSI 2021 and MSI 2022, both with Royal Never Give Up. Worlds 2024 is his closest brush with a world title, a 2nd place with Bilibili Gaming after the team had won the LPL that summer.

Domestically, he has won with all three of his organizations: LPL titles with RNG and BLG, and the Demacia Cup 2025 with iG. That spread matters for his standing, because it shows his success is not tied to one roster. The missing piece is a Worlds title.
