The list is refreshed every patch, so pair it with the best ADCs when you plan your bot lane.

Top support picks right now

  • Leona leads the role on score: 52.1% WR across 117,330 games, a top-tier rate held on one of the largest samples in the role.
  • Taric has the highest win rate on the list, 52.8% WR, but on 19,673 games, the smallest sample in S tier, so his number has the most room to move.
  • Braum prints the same 52.1% WR as Leona on 63,124 games; the smaller sample keeps him just behind her.
  • Thresh sits at 51.1% WR on 143,334 games, the most played S-tier support and a steady result at that volume.

How we rank

Ranked by a score combining win rate and pick rate; within a tier, by score.

Ranked games from our champion stats in this role. Win rate is shrunk toward the average by sample size, plus a small pick-rate bonus; champions under 1,000 games or 1% of the role's games, and off-role picks (under 15% of the champion's games, unless played in over 20,000), are left out. Sample: 1,248,724 games.

  • Leona: Leona leads the role on score, pairing a 52.1% win rate with 117,330 games.
  • Taric: Taric has the highest win rate on the list at 52.8%, held back from first place by the smallest sample in S tier.
  • Braum: Braum prints the same 52.1% win rate as Leona on 63,124 games, which keeps him just behind her on score.
  • Nami: Nami leads A tier on score with a 51.1% win rate over 109,282 games.
  • Seraphine: Seraphine is the most played A-tier support at 136,258 games, and that volume keeps her 50.8% win rate in A tier.
  • Soraka: Soraka has the highest win rate in A tier at 51.4%, on a smaller sample of 60,663 games.
  • Zyra: Zyra leads B tier on score with a 51.0% win rate across 52,974 games.
  • Zilean: Zilean posts the highest win rate in B tier at 51.2%, but his 34,921-game sample keeps him from climbing higher.
  • Lux: Lux is the most played support on the whole list at 161,978 games, but a 50.0% win rate keeps her in B tier.
  • Shaco: Shaco has the highest win rate in C tier at 49.5% and its smallest sample at 17,264 games.
  • Tahm Kench: Tahm Kench sits in C tier with a 49.1% win rate over 46,552 games.
  • Pyke: Pyke is the most played C-tier support at 75,263 games, but a 48.8% win rate keeps him here.
  • Yuumi: Yuumi is both the most played and the highest win rate pick in D tier, but 47.4% over 58,711 games still trails every support above her.
  • Camille: Camille has the smallest sample on the whole list at 12,450 games, with a 44.5% win rate.
  • Mel: Mel sits in D tier with a 44.6% win rate over 22,532 games.

Volume does not guarantee a high tier. Lux is the most played support on the whole list with 161,978 games, yet her 50.0% WR lands in B tier. The reverse holds too: Soraka’s 51.4% WR is the best in A tier, but she trails Nami and Seraphine on score because they carry more games.

The bottom of the list is clear-cut. Yuumi, Camille and Mel form D tier, and Camille’s 44.5% WR comes from the smallest sample on the list, 12,450 games, so treat her number with the most caution. Open any pick on our champion pages for more detail before you lock it in.

Tier breakdown

S tier

S tier holds the four supports whose win rates stay above 51% on samples large enough to trust, from Taric’s 19,673 games to Thresh’s 143,334. Pick from here when you want the strongest numbers in the role on a champion you have already played.

A tier

A tier is the deepest pool of reliable picks: eight supports between 50.8% and 51.4%, two of them on more than 100,000 games. Choose from here when an S-tier pick is banned or does not fit your team, and you give up very little on the numbers.

B tier

B tier is the largest group, 16 supports from 49.3% to 51.2%, mixing very popular picks with niche ones. These are solid choices for a player who knows them, but they win slightly less often than the tiers above.

C tier

C tier supports win slightly under half their games, from 48.0% to 49.5%. Pick from here only on a champion you have mastered, and expect to work harder for the same results.

D tier

D tier holds the three supports with win rates under 48%, the lowest in the role. Avoid these in ranked unless you are a dedicated one-trick on the champion.

How to use this support tier list

Use the tiers to shape your champion pool, not to override it. A B-tier support you know well will usually serve you better than an S-tier pick you are learning in ranked, so start from comfort and use the list to decide what to add next.

Then read champ select. If the enemy bot lane is already locked, pick the support from your pool that suits your ADC and the lane you face. If your team has no engage, Leona or Braum fills that gap; if it lacks sustain and peel, enchanters such as Nami or Soraka give it more.

Tiers shift between refreshes, so check the latest patch notes for changes to your main. Support play is tied to your jungler’s pathing, and the best junglers list shows which partners are strongest right now. To see these champions in high-elo hands, follow streamers and pro players.

TipBuild a pool across styles

Pair an engage support with an enchanter in your pool, such as Leona with Nami, so you have an answer whether your team needs a frontline or protection. Both sit in the top two tiers, so you give up little on the numbers either way.
