Alvaro LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

Movistar KOI’s Spanish support Alvaro won two LEC titles in 2025 and heads to Worlds 2026. This profile covers his season stats, champion pool, builds and career, drawn from pro scoreboards.

Alvaro, real name Álvaro Fernández del Amo, is the Spanish support for Movistar KOI. He joined the LEC organization on 13 January 2024, when it still played as MAD Lions KOI. He is known for an engage pool built on Rakan, Nautilus and Rell, for two LEC titles in 2025, and for a 2026 season in which he added mages and enchanters to that core. He has qualified for Worlds 2026 with the team.

2026 season stats

Alvaro’s 2026 matches 2025 on the bottom line but differs underneath. He has played about as many games as last year, and his win rate sits level with the 53.2% he posted in 2025. Movistar KOI’s results have held steady rather than jumped.

The change is in what he does inside those games. His damage per minute and his share of team damage are both up on 2025. That follows from drafting Neeko, Seraphine and Karma far more often than a pure engage support would. His vision per minute has also risen, so the extra damage has not cost him any map work.

Kill participation is the one figure that moved the other way, down from 78.1% in 2025. That fits the wider pool: on Lulu or Karma he spends more time protecting a carry than diving into every fight. His KDA has improved slightly as his deaths per game edged down.

Champion pool and pro win rates

Neeko and Seraphine lead Alvaro’s 2026 pool, and both have a winning record on a real sample. Neeko gives Movistar KOI a threat that can start a fight with her R or pressure the lane with damage. Seraphine is the safer front-to-back pick that keeps her team healthy through extended teamfights.

Rakan is still his most trusted engage option. He has a winning record on the champion this year and the best KDA of any champion he plays regularly. Lulu sits at an even split, which makes her a dependable answer in draft rather than a win condition.

The weak spots are Bard, Karma and especially Nautilus. Nautilus ranks among his best champions over his career, but this season he has lost more than he has won on it, and he has not played it since 22 August 2026. Bard and Karma both sit below even. Bard kept appearing in the playoffs anyway, which suggests the team values his roaming and map play more than the record shows.

Renata Glasc, Rell and Alistar fill out the middle of the pool. Renata Glasc has a winning record and the high assist numbers you expect from a champion that turns teamfights. Leona is unbeaten in a handful of games and Yuumi came out once in the playoffs, but neither sample is large enough to read anything into.

Taken as a whole, the pool is wider than the 14 champions he played in 2025. That breadth is his best defense in draft. Opponents cannot ban out one style, because he moves between engage, enchanter and mage picks without the team losing its shape.

Key takeawayWhat the pool says

Alvaro’s 2026 identity is split between mage picks and engage.

  1. Neeko and Seraphine are his main picks, and both win on a real sample.
  2. Rakan is still the engage champion he trusts most.
  3. Nautilus, a career staple, has not worked for him this season.

His career staples are Rakan, Nautilus, Rell, Braum and Renata Glasc, an engage-and-peel core. Braum has not appeared since 6 April 2026, which shows how far the 2026 pool has drifted from it.

Pro builds

Alvaro’s builds show a support who wants fights on his terms. Either he brings the burst himself or he makes sure his carries survive the first round of crowd control. All three of his most played champions run Flash and Heal, so his duo enters lane with a sustain setup rather than the kill threat of Exhaust or Ignite.

Neeko: Rocketbelt and Comet

On Neeko he builds like a mid laner. Hextech Rocketbelt is his core item, with Zhonya’s Hourglass and Protoplasm Harness as the defensive options. His runes pair Arcane Comet with Scorch for lane poke. That setup explains why his damage rose this year: in his hands Neeko is a damage pick, not a utility filler.

Seraphine and Lulu: enchanter builds

Seraphine goes the healing route with Echoes of Helia, Mikael’s Blessing and Moonstone Renewer. Her runes are Summon Aery, Manaflow Band and Transcendence. Lulu is built around Ardent Censer, with Redemption or Shurelya’s Battlesong added depending on whether his team needs to survive a fight or start one.

Mikael’s Blessing appears on all three champions. It lets him cleanse a carry out of crowd control. Its presence on Neeko, a champion he otherwise builds for damage, shows he itemizes against pick-heavy opponents. Item and rune values change between patches, so check the latest patch notes before you copy a build.

TipTake this into solo queue

If the enemy has one reliable lockdown ability aimed at your carry, Mikael’s Blessing on an enchanter is worth more than another heal item. Note how Alvaro pairs it with Echoes of Helia on Seraphine. Our guides have more support breakdowns.

Alvaro’s LoL career so far

Alvaro’s recorded team history starts on 13 January 2024, when he joined Movistar KOI as its support. The organization still carried the MAD Lions KOI name at the time. He has stayed in the role and on the roster since, a constant for the team through a rebrand and several LEC splits.

His champion history goes back further, with Thresh games dating to 19 April 2023. His listed team history only begins in 2024, though, so the earlier part of his career is not covered here.

2025 was his breakthrough year. He finished it with a 58–51 record across 109 games and won two LEC titles along the way. 2026 has kept the results steady while changing how he plays: he has moved from an engage specialist toward a support who can also draft damage.

That shift matters for how teams prepare against Movistar KOI. A support who can play Rakan, Seraphine or Neeko gives his organization more freedom in draft, because the bot lane does not reveal the team’s plan until late in pick and ban. Profiles of the other players and organizations in the league are on the esports hub.

Achievements

Both of Alvaro’s titles came in 2025: the LEC 2025 Spring Playoffs, won on 8 June 2025, and LEC 2025 Summer, won on 26 August 2025. Winning back-to-back splits established Movistar KOI, and Alvaro with it, as a title contender in Europe rather than a playoff regular.
