Breathe LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

Breathe is the top laner for Anyone’s Legend and a fresh LPL champion. His season stats, champion pool, pro builds, career path and Worlds 2026 schedule.

Breathe (Chen Chen) is a League of Legends (LoL) top laner from China who plays for Anyone’s Legend. He is known for a flexible pool that moves between lane bullies, tanks and carries, a Worlds 2024 semifinal run with Weibo Gaming, and the LPL 2026 title he won less than two months after joining his current organization.

He has played top lane for every organization on his record since his debut with Team WE in December 2020. That consistency in role, paired with frequent moves between rosters, is the thread running through his career: he is the kind of top laner teams sign to stabilize a side of the map, and in 2026 he finally converted that into a domestic trophy.

2026 season stats

Breathe is winning more in 2026 than he did in 2025, on a shorter calendar. His 2025 season with Weibo Gaming ended at 70–80, a 46.7% win rate, and this year his record has moved onto the right side of even across his spells at Invictus Gaming and Anyone’s Legend. He has played fewer games than last year, partly because he did not start the season on a roster: his Invictus Gaming spell began in April.

The shape of his games has shifted too. He dies less often, farms harder and puts down more vision per minute than he did last year, while his share of his team’s damage sits close to where it was. His kill participation has dropped, which points to a top laner spending more time holding a side lane and less time walking to every fight.

Read together, those lines describe a player whose value this year comes from stability rather than volume. He is not carrying more of the damage than before; he is giving away less, keeping his lane healthy and letting the rest of the roster play around a top side that does not collapse.

Key takeawayWhat the 2026 numbers say

Compare the two seasons in the table below with these three points in mind.

  1. His win rate is up on 2025 while his damage share is roughly flat, so the improvement is not about taking more resources.
  2. Fewer deaths and higher CS/min point to cleaner laning and safer side-lane play.
  3. Lower kill participation fits a top laner who trades fights for map pressure rather than joining every skirmish.

Breathe’s champion pool and pro win rates

Gnar is the center of Breathe’s 2026 champion pool. It is his most played champion this year, he holds a winning record on it, and Anyone’s Legend kept coming back to it through the LPL 2026 Grand Finals. Gnar gives a draft range, front-line value in Mega form and a lane that can hold against most bruisers, which explains why it is his default.

The best results on a real sample sit just behind it. Rumble and Yorick have both posted win rates well above his season average across enough games to take seriously, and K’Sante has the cleanest record among his tank options. Rumble is the notable turnaround: across his career he has lost more Rumble games than he has won, so this year’s form on the champion is new rather than a long-standing strength.

Not everything has worked. Sion and Jayce both returned poor results on samples large enough to judge, and Sion has not been played since May, during his time at Invictus Gaming. Jayce stayed in the rotation into September despite the losing record, and Ambessa has hovered around even, a useful blind option rather than a win condition.

Olaf is the late addition worth watching. He brought it out in the LPL 2026 Grand Finals as an aggressive, lane-dominant answer to bruiser matchups. Kennen, Nasus, Galio and Ornn have appeared only once or twice each, so treat them as pocket picks for specific drafts; the sample is too small to call any of them strong or weak.

Across his whole career, K’Sante, Gnar, Renekton, Gwen and Jax are his signature champions, with K’Sante the most played of all. Gwen, Jax and Renekton have barely featured in 2026, which shows how far the meta has pushed him toward Gnar and the tank picks; his Gwen record in particular is one of the best long-run marks in his pool, so a return would not be a surprise if the patch allows it.

Pro builds

Breathe’s builds say he wants to win extended fights, not one-shot a target. On Gnar, Trinity Force is the constant first item, followed most often by Sterak’s Gage and Wit’s End, with Randuin’s Omen, Black Cleaver or Guardian Angel slotted in when the enemy team demands it. That path favors a Gnar who survives long enough to transform at the right moment and keep trading in Mini form.

His Gnar runes follow the same logic: Lethal Tempo in Precision with a Resolve secondary of Bone Plating and Overgrowth, which buys lane sustain and late-game health rather than early kill pressure. Flash and Teleport are his Summoner spells on all three of his most played champions, a reminder that top lane in pro play is still about cross-map plays as much as the lane itself.

On K’Sante he leans on Iceborn Gauntlet, Jak’Sho and The Protean, then adapts with Thornmail, Kaenic Rookern or Spirit Visage depending on the damage he faces. The page runs Grasp of the Undying with an Inspiration secondary of Biscuit Delivery and Cosmic Insight, a setup for long lanes and lower cooldowns rather than all-in pressure. Ambessa uses the same Grasp of the Undying base, with Eclipse first every time and Spear of Shojin or Black Cleaver after it.

The rune pages come from a smaller set of games than the item data, so treat the runes as a direction rather than a fixed rule. Check the latest patch notes before you copy a pro path, and pair it with our top lane guides for the matchup reasoning behind each item.

Breathe LoL career: from Team WE to Anyone’s Legend

Breathe’s career started with Team WE, where he played top from 21 December 2020 to 21 November 2021. He moved to Bilibili Gaming on 17 December 2021, a short stint that ended on 23 April 2022.

Royal Never Give Up gave him his longest home. He joined on 10 June 2022 and stayed until 27 March 2024, and many of the champions that define his career pool, from Renekton and Gwen to Jax and Fiora, were built into his game across those seasons.

Weibo Gaming came next, from 1 June 2024 to 21 September 2025. That spell produced his best international result, a 3rd–4th place finish at Worlds 2024, and also the 2025 season that closed with a losing record.

After Weibo, his 2026 began late. He played for Invictus Gaming from 4 April 2026 to 14 June 2026, then joined Anyone’s Legend on 22 July 2026. Less than two months later, on 13 September 2026, he won the LPL 2026 Grand Finals, beating Invictus Gaming and Bilibili Gaming on the way through the final stage.

The arc is of a player who has rarely stayed put but has always been trusted with the starting top lane spot. For more players and organizations across the major leagues, browse the esports hub.

Achievements

The LPL 2026 Grand Finals title is the headline result of his career. It came in his first months with Anyone’s Legend, after a season that started without a team, and it puts him among the top laners who have won the league in one of the strongest regions in the world.

Worlds 2024 is the other result that matters. Reaching 3rd–4th with Weibo Gaming proved he could hold a top lane on the biggest stage, and the domestic title in 2026 adds the trophy that run did not deliver.
