Yeon LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

Yeon has played bot lane for Team Liquid since January 2022. His 2026 stats, champion pool, pro builds, career titles and his place at Worlds 2026.

Yeon (Sean Sung) is an American League of Legends (LoL) bot laner who plays for Team Liquid, the only organization he has represented since joining on 14 January 2022. He is known as a reliable carry who wins at home: Team Liquid took the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs on 4 October 2026 with him in the bot lane, and the team now heads to Worlds 2026.

Born on 7 January 2001, Yeon has built his reputation on mobile, lane-active marksmen such as Ezreal, Xayah and Lucian. His pool is wide enough to cover utility picks like Ashe and the occasional mage in the bot lane, which gives his team room in draft.

2026 season stats

Yeon’s 2026 is a clear step up from 2025 on results. He finished last year with a losing 33–36 record; this season he has played far more pro games and wins comfortably more often than he loses.

The shape of his games changed as well. He is farming more and earning more gold per minute than in 2025, while taking a slightly smaller share of his team’s damage and a lower kill participation. His deaths per game sit about level with last year.

Read together, those numbers describe a bot laner who is playing for resources and scaling rather than joining every skirmish. On a team that wins more often, that is a healthy sign: the gold is flowing to the carry, and the carry is not throwing it away. If you play ADC in ranked, that is the profile to copy. More CS with no extra deaths is how a marksman turns a small lead into a late-game threat.

Champion pool and pro win rates

Yeon’s 2026 pool rests on four champions he has played equally often: Lucian, Ashe, Xayah and Ezreal. Lucian and Ashe have produced the best results on a real sample, Xayah sits close behind, and Ezreal, his long-time staple, has been the most even of the four.

Below that core, the picks split into two groups. Kalista, Caitlyn, Corki and Yunara carry winning records on smaller samples and give him lane-priority or scaling options. Varus and Jhin have been harder going this year, with more losses than wins across samples large enough to take seriously.

The rest are pocket picks rather than comfort champions. Ziggs, Mel, Aphelios, Kai’Sa and Senna have only a handful of games each, too few to call any of them strong or weak. What they do show is range: Ziggs and Mel are mages taken into the bot lane, and that flexibility lets his team hide its plans until late in the draft.

Key takeawayWhat his pool tells you

Yeon wins most on champions that pressure the lane early or carry fights reliably.

  1. Lucian and Ashe are the picks to expect when Team Liquid wants a winning lane or a teamfight setup.
  2. Xayah and Ezreal are his safe, self-sufficient options when the draft gets complicated.
  3. Mage picks like Ziggs are real but rare, so treat them as surprises rather than staples.

Pro builds

Yeon’s builds show a player who wants to win through spell uptime and sustained damage rather than one big burst. On Lucian he pairs Infinity Edge with Essence Reaver and Rapid Firecannon, and Press the Attack is the keystone he takes most often, with an Inspiration secondary. That is a build for repeated short trades in lane and quick follow-ups when his support starts a fight.

Ashe is built as a damage carry, not a utility pick. Lethal Tempo leads the runes, and the items start from Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer, with Hexoptics C44, Yun Tal Wildarrows, Kraken Slayer and Runaan’s Hurricane as the options around them. He wants Ashe hitting from behind the frontline for the whole fight, not stopping at one item and relying on her arrow.

The Xayah panel is the outlier. Conqueror is the most common keystone, with a Sorcery secondary, and the build is centered on Navori Flickerblade, with Infinity Edge, Essence Reaver and Stormrazor as frequent companions. Cutting cooldowns is the point: more spell casts in long teamfights, where Conqueror has time to stack.

Barrier and Flash are his summoner spells on all three champions. That choice favors surviving the first dive, which fits a carry who plans to deal damage for the whole fight rather than trade once and leave.

TipCopying a pro build

Pro builds assume coordinated peel and a planned draft. In Ranked Solo/Duo, keep the core items and keystone, but check the latest patch notes for item changes and lean on our guides for matchup-specific adjustments.

Recent pro games

His latest games come from the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs, where Team Liquid faced FlyQuest, Cloud9 and LYON. Across those series he reached for a wide spread of champions, from Lucian, Xayah and Ashe to Kalista, Ezreal, Varus and Jhin, plus Ziggs and Sivir. That variety suggests the draft asked him to cover many matchups rather than lock in two comfort picks.

Every game in the table has a Watch link. The series against LYON on 4 October 2026, played the day Team Liquid won the title, is the natural place to start. For ADC players, the most useful thing to study is how he positions in long fights on the champions he builds for sustained damage.

Yeon’s LoL career at Team Liquid

Yeon has spent his whole pro career with one organization. He joined Team Liquid as their bot laner on 14 January 2022 and has stayed through every season since. His history has no transfers or role swaps to account for.

The start was immediate. Team Liquid won the LCS 2022 Lock In on 30 January 2022, only weeks after he joined. The high point so far came in 2024, when the team won the LCS 2024 Spring Playoffs and LCS 2024 Summer and finished 3rd–4th at the Esports World Cup 2024.

2025 was mixed. Team Liquid won the LTA 2025 Split 1 Playoffs in February, but Yeon’s season as a whole ended with a losing record. 2026 turned that around, with a much stronger year that closed with the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs title and a ticket to Worlds.

Achievements

Yeon’s titles are regional, and there are plenty of them. Two stand out for his standing. The 2024 pair of LCS 2024 Spring Playoffs and LCS 2024 Summer showed he could win across a full year. The LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs answered a losing 2025 with a trophy.

The Esports World Cup 2024 run is the best international result on his list, a 3rd–4th finish. Worlds 2026 is his next chance to add to it. You can compare him with other pro players and teams on the esports hub.
