Current Cloud9 roster

Cloud9 starts a standard five: Thanatos in top, Blaber in jungle, Loki in mid, Tactical in bot and Vulcan at support. Blaber and Vulcan are the long-standing core, while Loki and Tactical took over mid and bot after APA and Zven played the larger share of the season’s games.

The staff is led by head coach IWDominate, with YamatoCannon, Arrow and Veigar v2 as assistant coaches. None of the coaches appear in the player tables; the five names above are the lineup.

2026 season record and player stats

Cloud9’s 2026 season is a clear winning one, and the shape of it matters more than the totals. The team wins series more comfortably than it wins individual games, which points to a squad that drops games along the way but usually finds the adjustment to close a series out. That is a useful trait in best-of-five play, and it showed in the spring title run.

The side split is the sharpest pattern in the data. Cloud9 is much stronger on blue side, where it takes 64% of its games, against an even 50% on red. For a team heading into a Play-In with Bo5 elements, side selection and first-pick priority are worth watching. Its games tend to run past the half-hour mark rather than ending in early stomps, so Cloud9 is more comfortable trading through the mid game than forcing a fast snowball.

Vulcan and Blaber carry the team’s structure. Vulcan posts the best KDA on the roster with very few deaths for a playmaking support, and Blaber’s assist count shows a jungler involved in almost every fight. Thanatos plays a low-death, steady top lane, while Loki has delivered the highest kill output of the two mids in his smaller sample, which makes him the team’s most aggressive carry option since he moved into the lineup.

Read the mid and bot rows with care: Loki and Tactical have far fewer games than APA and Zven, so their lines are a smaller sample and could move a lot over a short tournament.

Draft priorities

Cloud9 drafts around control mages and flexible solo laners. Corki is the team’s most-played champion and one of its most reliable, winning 80% of the games it appears in, and Orianna sits close behind as a high-win-rate mid option. Annie rounds out a mid pool built on wave control and teamfight setup rather than pure lane bullying.

The top lane pool is the widest on the roster. Renekton, K’Sante, Gnar and Ambessa all see regular play, which lets Thanatos flex between early lane pressure and scaling frontline depending on the matchup. Gnar has been the standout of that group, while Renekton is played often but sits below an even record. Jarvan IV is Blaber’s go-to engage jungler, and Ezreal and Yunara anchor the bot lane, with Yunara the one frequent pick carrying a losing record.

Orianna also leads the ban list in Cloud9’s games, which tells you how central the champion is to the matchups around this team: when it is open, it is taken, and when it is a threat, it is removed. Karma, Pantheon and Varus follow, a mix of lane-dominant supports and poke picks that fits a team that prefers to dictate the early lane phase on its own terms. If you follow pro drafts to inform your solo queue picks, check the latest patch notes before copying a pool, since priorities shift patch to patch.

Key takeawayHow Cloud9 wins

The draft and side data point to one clear profile.

  1. Cloud9 is at its best on blue side, where it can secure Corki or Orianna early.
  2. Thanatos’s flexible top pool lets the team hide its composition until late in the draft.
  3. Its games reward a steady mid game, so Cloud9 rarely needs an early lead to win.

Recent form

Cloud9’s late-season form is a tale of two halves. The summer regular season ended strongly, with series wins over Dignitas, Disguised, FlyQuest, Shopify Rebellion and Sentinels, and only LYON beating them in that stretch. The playoffs opened the same way, with wins over Shopify Rebellion and then LYON.

The run then closed with back-to-back Bo5 losses to Team Liquid and LYON, so Cloud9 heads to Worlds off two defeats against the region’s other top teams. LYON in particular has become a recurring opponent, beating Cloud9 twice in the late summer. Every game of the playoff run is linked below if you want to study the drafts and side selection in those series.

History and titles

Cloud9 arrived in the NA LCS in 2013 and won immediately, taking the 2013 Summer title and playoffs, then Battle of the Atlantic 2013 against Europe. The 2014 season extended that era with the Spring and Summer titles and the IEM Season 9 San Jose win, establishing Cloud9 as North America’s benchmark organization.

From 2015 to 2018 Cloud9 won the NA Regional Finals four years running, earning Worlds spots through the gauntlet when the split titles went elsewhere. That stretch peaked with a top-four finish at Worlds 2018, still the best international result for the organization, and Rift Rivals 2017 NA-EU was a further international title in the same period.

The LCS era brought another wave of trophies: the 2020 Spring title and playoffs, the 2021 Spring split and Mid-Season Showdown, the LCS 2022 Championship, and the 2023 Spring and Summer titles. LCS 2026 Spring adds the latest entry and gives this roster its own trophy. The full list of titles and top-four finishes is below.
