Berserker LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

Berserker is LYON’s bot laner, a four-time LCS winner from the Cloud9 era. He has turned a losing 2025 into a winning 2026 and heads to Worlds 2026 as North America’s second seed.

Berserker is a South Korean LoL pro, Kim Min-cheol, who plays bot lane for LYON in North America. He is best known for his Cloud9 years. In that spell he won the LCS 2022 Championship and added three more LCS first places in 2023. Zeri is the champion most tied to his name. In 2026 he is winning again, and LYON have qualified for Worlds 2026.

2026 season stats

Berserker’s 2026 is a turnaround year. He has played more games than in 2025 and wins far more often. He also dies less and deals a larger share of his team’s damage, with higher gold and CS per minute to match. The contrast with 2025 is stark: that season ended with a 21–67 record and a 23.9% win rate.

International play explains part of the busier schedule. LYON’s 2026 took him to First Stand 2026 and MSI 2026, on top of the LCS 2026 Lock-In, Spring, Summer and Summer Playoffs. A marksman who keeps his numbers up across that many games and that many opponents is a reliable part of his team, not a one-split surge.

One stat moves the other way: his kill participation is lower than in 2025. Combined with the higher damage share and farm, that points to a carry who spends more time on waves and less time following every skirmish. A winning team wants that from its marksman. You can apply the same idea in your own games. A lower kill participation is not a problem if your gold and damage rise with it, because the farm turns into damage when the fight that matters arrives.

Champion pool and pro win rates

Yunara is Berserker’s main champion this season. He picks it most often, it carries a solid winning record, and it is the champion he returned to deep in the playoffs. Behind it, Ezreal and Lucian make up a three-champion core that covers very different lane plans: a scaling attack-speed carry, a safe poke and skirmish pick, and a lane bully.

Ezreal is the standout on a real sample. It has the best results of his three main picks and the fewest deaths, which fits a champion that lets him deal damage from range and dodge the punishment most marksmen take in lane. Lucian is a bigger change. His career record on it sits below even, so a winning year on Lucian means the aggressive lane style is now paying off for LYON.

Further down, Caitlyn and Varus both carry strong winning records on smaller but usable samples, so they work as dependable answers when Yunara or Ezreal are banned or taken. Jhin is the one regular pick with a losing record this season, yet he still drafted it in the playoffs, a sign it fills a utility role in some compositions. Kai’Sa and Jinx have only a couple of games each, too few to judge. The pool is also wider than in 2025, which makes him harder to ban out of a series.

Pro builds

On Yunara, Berserker builds around Kraken Slayer, with Infinity Edge and Fiendhunter Bolts in most games and Hexoptics C44 as a common addition. His runes are Lethal Tempo in Precision, with Inspiration as the secondary tree for Triple Tonic and Cosmic Insight. Every choice points the same way: he wants long fights in which he keeps attacking, not one quick burst trade.

His Ezreal build is the most distinctive of the three. Muramana and Trinity Force appear in every game, followed by Spear of Shojin and often Endless Hunger, with Serylda’s Grudge as a situational pick. He again takes Lethal Tempo, here with Presence of Mind and Legend: Haste, and Jack Of All Trades in Inspiration. The setup rewards weaving basic attacks between abilities over a long fight, so his Ezreal does more than poke from a distance.

Lucian goes the other way. He runs Press the Attack, with Essence Reaver, Infinity Edge and Navori Flickerblade as the usual core and Lord Dominik’s Regards against tanky front lines. That is a short-trade, ability-haste crit build for a champion that has to win lane early. He takes Barrier and Flash on all three champions, so he gives up kill pressure from Ignite for a safer lane and better survival in teamfights.

Recent form in the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs

His latest games come from the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs, in series against Shopify Rebellion, his former organization Cloud9, and Team Liquid. Across those series he went well beyond his core three, with Ashe, Jhin, Varus, Jinx, Caitlyn, Kai’Sa and Xayah all appearing next to Yunara and Lucian. LYON’s drafts are clearly built around what the bot lane matchup needs, and he can cover most of the marksman picks they ask for.

Berserker LoL career: T1, Cloud9, DN Freecs and LYON

Berserker’s first listed stop is a short spell with T1, from 21 December 2020 to 2 January 2021. His career really took off in North America, where he joined Cloud9 on 5 February 2022.

The Cloud9 years, which ran until 7 September 2024, made his name. He won the LCS 2022 Championship in his first year and then took first place at the LCS 2023 Spring, the LCS 2023 Spring Playoffs and the LCS 2023 Summer. Most of his Zeri games, still the core of his career pool, come from this phase of his career.

He returned to Korea with DN Freecs on 15 January 2025. That year was the hardest of his career: the 2025 season ended with a 21–67 record. In 2026 the scoreboards show him back in North America with LYON, and the change is clear in every part of his stat line, from win rate to damage share.

Achievements

Four first places define Berserker’s standing, all won with Cloud9. The LCS 2022 Championship on 11 September 2022 was his first title in his first year in the region. The 2023 run that followed, with first place at Spring, the Spring Playoffs and Summer, made him a central part of the strongest team in the LCS at the time. With LYON’s 2026 season, he is back among the region’s contenders.
