ShowMaker LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

ShowMaker, the Worlds 2020 champion, mids for Dplus Kia in a season built on Viktor, Ryze and Annie. Here is how his stats, pool, builds and titles stack up before Worlds 2026.

ShowMaker (Heo Su) is the mid laner for Dplus Kia in Korea’s LCK and the player who won Worlds 2020 with DAMWON Gaming. Born on 22 July 2000, he has spent his whole career, since 20 November 2017, with one organization through three names: DAMWON Gaming, DWG KIA and Dplus Kia. He is known for a deep mage pool, with LeBlanc, Syndra, Zoe and Twisted Fate among his signature champions, and in 2026 he added an Esports World Cup title to a trophy list that already held several LCK titles and a world championship.

2026 season stats

His 2026 season has been slightly less successful than 2025, but not by much. Last year he played 163 games at a 57.1% win rate; this year his win rate sits a touch lower, and his game count is still climbing toward last season’s total with Worlds to come.

The bigger change is in how he plays. His CS/min and damage/min are both up on 2025, and he takes a slightly bigger share of his team’s damage, while his assists and kill participation have dropped. That is a lane-first carry profile: more time on the wave, fewer roams into side-lane skirmishes, and more of the team’s gold flowing through the mid lane.

The trade-off shows in his KDA, which has fallen from the 4.60 he posted in 2025. He is also working from a much narrower pool than the 36 champions he used last year, which matches the settled, scaling-mage identity his champion table shows.

For a mid laner climbing in Ranked Solo/Duo, the lesson is simple. A higher farm rate on a control mage converts into damage later, but only if you are in position for the fights that decide the game. ShowMaker accepts fewer early assists in exchange for a stronger late-game item curve, and that only works because he shows up when Dragon and Baron Nashor fights start.

ShowMaker’s champion pool and pro win rates

Viktor is his most played champion this season, ahead of Ryze and Annie, and all three hold winning records on samples large enough to trust. They are control mages that clear waves fast, scale with items and shape teamfights from range, which fits the farm-heavy profile in his season stats.

The standout is Cassiopeia, on which he has been close to unbeaten across a real sample. Ahri is the other strong option, with the highest KDA in his season pool, and Taliyah sits close behind as a reliable pick that also lets him move early with her wall and roam speed. Orianna and Twisted Fate are steady rather than spectacular, closer to even than his best picks.

The weak spots are the surprise. Syndra, LeBlanc and Azir, three champions he built his name on, all have losing records this season on five or more games, and Anivia has struggled as well. Azir has not been played since 8 April 2026, which suggests the team has moved away from him in draft. Aurora and Zoe have too few games this year to judge either way.

For solo queue mid laners, the pool’s shape is the takeaway: his wins in 2026 come from mages that win through range, wave clear and teamfight setup, not from the assassins he was famous for early in his career. You can compare Viktor, Ryze and Orianna in ranked on the champion pages.

Key takeawayWhat his 2026 pool tells you

His current pool rewards patience over early solo kills.

  1. His most played champions are scaling control mages, not assassins.
  2. Cassiopeia and Ahri have produced his best results on real samples this year.
  3. His classic Syndra, LeBlanc and Azir have losing records this season, so do not read his career staples as his current comfort picks.

Pro builds

His builds favor ability haste and tools to start fights over pure burst. On Viktor, Blackfire Torch is his fixed first item, most often followed by Crimson Lucidity and Hextech Rocketbelt, with Rabadon’s Deathcap, Liandry’s Torment and Void Staff as later choices. The rune page is Deathfire Touch from Sorcery with a Precision secondary, paired with Flash and Teleport.

Ryze runs Rod of Ages and Seraph’s Embrace as a fixed pair, then Actualizer, with the same Deathfire Touch keystone but a Resolve secondary for Second Wind and Overgrowth. The summoner spells are the tell: Flash and Ghost instead of Teleport. He wants Ryze to survive lane, stack his items and then dominate long fights in the river, where Ghost keeps him in range.

Annie is the most aggressive setup. Malignance comes first, Hextech Rocketbelt adds a dash to land her stun, and Electrocute from Domination with Taste of Blood and Sixth Sense backs up short trades, with a Sorcery secondary and Teleport. Rocketbelt on both Viktor and Annie shows a player who likes a gap-closer to start fights himself rather than waiting for his jungler or support to engage.

Pro builds move with item changes, so check the latest patch notes before you copy one of these into ranked.

Career

ShowMaker joined DAMWON Gaming on 20 November 2017, and his first title in the record came at Rift Rivals 2019 LCK-LPL-LMS-VCS. The breakout was 2020: he won LCK 2020 Summer and its playoffs, then Worlds 2020 on 31 October 2020, and closed the year with the KeSPA Cup 2020 title on 2 January 2021.

The team played as DWG KIA from 13 January 2021, and that year was nearly as strong. He won both LCK splits and both playoffs, and finished second at MSI 2021 and at Worlds 2021. The DWG KIA stint ended on 5 November 2022, and he has played under the Dplus Kia name since 18 January 2023.

The years after 2021 were leaner on trophies, which is why the recent results matter. First place in LCK 2025 Rounds 3–5 and the Esports World Cup 2026 title show he can still win at the top level long into his career, now as a farm-first mage player rather than the assassin specialist of his early years.

Achievements

Worlds 2020 is the result that defines him, and reaching the Worlds 2021 final a year later confirmed it was no one-off run. The 2021 season is his most complete year on paper: both LCK splits, both playoffs and two international finals.

The Esports World Cup 2026 win on 19 July 2026 is his first international title in this record since Worlds 2020. It is the clearest recent sign that his current team can win against international opposition, and it lifts his standing heading into another Worlds.
