CoreJJ LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

CoreJJ is Team Liquid’s South Korean support, a Worlds 2017 champion with Samsung Galaxy and a many-time domestic champion in North America. His 2026 stats, champion pool, builds, career and Worlds 2026 seed, in one place.

CoreJJ (Jo Yong-in, 조용인) is a South Korean support who plays for Team Liquid in North America, and one of the most decorated players in LoL. He won Worlds 2017 with Samsung Galaxy, moved to Team Liquid in January 2019 and has collected domestic titles there ever since, most recently the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs on 4 October 2026.

He is known for a deep, engage-first career pool built on Rakan, Tahm Kench, Braum, Nautilus and Rell, and for adapting that pool to whatever the meta asks. He also did not start as a support: his first professional team, Dignitas, played him in the bot lane.

2026 season stats

2026 is CoreJJ’s strongest season in years by results, and his busiest. Team Liquid played clearly more games with him than in 2025 and won a much larger share of them, a sharp turn from a 2025 season that ended 33–36 in his games, a 47.8% win rate.

The per-game profile improved along with the results. He dies less often and collects more assists than last year, and his KDA has climbed well past the 3.89 he finished 2025 with. That is the cleaner shape you want from a support whose job is to start fights and still be alive to finish them.

His damage share and vision per minute are both up slightly, and his kill participation has edged higher. The damage bump tracks with his pool: mage-style supports such as Seraphine and Neeko put out far more damage than Rakan or Rell, and they are a bigger part of his 2026 than they were before.

CoreJJ champions: pool and pro win rates

Rakan is the most played champion of CoreJJ’s season, and the one he returns to when a draft needs reliable engage with an escape built in. The two picks with the best results on a sample large enough to trust are Seraphine and Nami, both enchanters that win games by keeping a lead carry alive through extended fights.

Rell and Neeko sit behind them with solid, identical records, and they do very different jobs. Rell is pure front line and lockdown; Neeko is the damage option, his highest damage per minute among his regular picks. Renata Glasc has a winning record on a smaller sample and showed up late in the year, including in the Summer Playoffs final.

Karma is the outlier on the wrong side, with a losing record across a handful of games, one of them a playoff loss to Cloud9. Milio, Alistar, Lulu, Leona, Pantheon and Sona are pocket picks with too few games to judge either way. Overall the pool is slightly narrower than the 18 champions he played in 2025, which suggests Team Liquid settled on a clearer identity for its bot lane.

Key takeawayWhat his 2026 pool tells you

CoreJJ wins with two kinds of support and rarely in between.

  1. Engage picks such as Rakan, Rell and Nautilus carry most of his games and give Team Liquid a way to start fights.
  2. Enchanters such as Seraphine and Nami post his best results, which points to a team comfortable playing around a protected carry.
  3. Off-meta or one-off picks are drafted for a specific matchup, not as comfort, so their records say little.

Pro builds on Rakan, Seraphine and Rell

On Rakan, CoreJJ builds to amplify his team rather than himself. Zeke’s Convergence and Locket of the Iron Solari are his most common items, with Mikael’s Blessing and Knight’s Vow as the peel options when the enemy has a dive threat or crowd control to cleanse. A one-off Mejai’s Soulstealer shows he will take a greedy item when a game is already rolling his way.

Seraphine has the most fixed build of the three: Diadem of Songs and Echoes of Helia form the core every time, with Moonstone Renewer, Mikael’s Blessing or Redemption added later. The rune page is Summon Aery in Sorcery with Manaflow Band, Celerity and Scorch, plus Inspiration for Magical Footwear and Cosmic Insight. That is a long-fight, ability-haste setup: he wants teamfights that last, not one-shot picks.

Rell goes the opposite way. Locket of the Iron Solari plus Protoplasm Harness makes her a durable front line, and Aftershock with Shield Bash, Bone Plating and Unflinching keeps her alive after she commits. Hextech Flashtraption in the secondary tree gives her a second engage angle that does not burn Flash.

All three champions run Flash and Heal. Taking Heal over Exhaust or Ignite trades some kill pressure for a sturdier 2v2 and a safer lane for his bot laner, which fits a player who would rather win the game through teamfights than through early solo kills.

TipCopying his builds in solo queue

The Seraphine core is the easiest to copy because it never changes, but check the latest patch notes first: support items shift often, and a pro build is tuned for coordinated fights. Our support guides cover when Locket or Mikael’s Blessing is worth the slot in a solo queue game.

CoreJJ LoL career: from Dignitas to Team Liquid

CoreJJ began as a bot laner. He played that role for Dignitas from 19 December 2014 to 23 August 2015, a short first stint before the move that defined his career.

He switched to support when he joined Samsung Galaxy on 13 January 2016, and the change paid off at once. Samsung Galaxy won the Korea Regional Finals 2016 and finished second at Worlds 2016, then won the Korea Regional Finals 2017 and Worlds 2017. He stayed with the organization until 2 December 2017.

His next team, Gen.G (formerly KSV eSports), signed him on 16 January 2018. That year added another Korea Regional Finals win, on 16 September 2018, and the stint ended on 3 November 2018.

On 26 January 2019 he joined Team Liquid, where he has played support ever since. His first year there was the most successful of his North American career: the LCS 2019 Spring and Summer titles plus both playoffs, and a run to the MSI 2019 final. More titles followed in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024, then the LTA 2025 Split 1 Playoffs and the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs.

Achievements

Worlds 2017 is the title that sets CoreJJ apart. He won it with Samsung Galaxy a year after the same roster finished second at Worlds 2016, so he has reached two consecutive world finals and won one of them.

With Team Liquid, his best international results are second place at MSI 2019 and a 3rd–4th finish at the Esports World Cup 2024. At home, his titles stretch from the LCS 2019 Spring to the LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs, across the LCS and the LTA. That spread matters: he has stayed at the top of North America through several rebuilds of the league around him.

The LCS 2026 Summer Playoffs title also answers the losing 2025 season. A support with a Worlds title from 2017 is still winning domestic finals nine years later, and you can compare his record with other veterans across our esports coverage.
