Viper LoL: Career, Champions and Worlds 2026

Viper, the Worlds 2021 champion bot laner, has had a title-heavy first year at Bilibili Gaming. His stats, champion pool, builds, career and Worlds 2026 path.

Viper (Park Do-hyeon, 박도현) is a South Korean bot laner who plays for Bilibili Gaming in China’s LPL. He is one of the most decorated marksmen in LoL: a world champion with EDward Gaming in 2021, a multi-year cornerstone of Hanwha Life Esports, and now the carry of a BLG roster that has won almost everything in front of it this year. He is known for a deep marksman pool, very few deaths and a willingness to play lane bullies, hypercarries and even mages in the bot lane.

Born on 19 October 2000, he has played bot lane for every organization on his record, across both the LCK and the LPL. Off stage he streams on Bilibili and posts on YouTube; you can find more pros who broadcast their games on our streamers and pro players hub.

2026 season stats

Viper’s 2026 is busier and more successful than his 2025. He has already played more pro games than in all of last year, and his win rate sits well above the 62.7% he posted across 161 games in 2025, his last season at Hanwha Life Esports.

The shape of his output has shifted. He takes a slightly smaller share of his team’s damage than he did in 2025 and is involved in fewer of its kills, yet his KDA has held at the same level and his gold, CS and vision per minute are all up. Read that as a bot laner on a team with more threats around him: BLG does not need Viper to be the only win condition, so he farms, stays alive and arrives at fights with items.

Key takeawayWhat climbers can take from his numbers

Viper’s season is built on staying alive rather than on a huge kill count.

  1. Treat a death in lane as a bigger loss than a missed kill, because gold and items compound.
  2. Farm toward your next item before you look for a fight that only trades one for one.
  3. Let a stronger side of the map carry when it is ahead, and show up to the fight it starts.

Champion pool and pro win rates

Ezreal is Viper’s most played champion in 2026, and it is also one of his most reliable, with a win rate well above his already high season average. The safe, poke-and-kite style fits how BLG plays around him: Ezreal rarely gets caught, keeps waves clean and scales into a strong mid game with his item core.

Ashe is the standout on a real sample. Over a solid run of games he has barely lost on her, and his KDA on the champion is the best of his regular picks. Ashe gives BLG engage from range and slows that set up the rest of the team, which suits a roster that wants to start fights on its own terms.

Behind those two sit Yunara, Varus, Sivir and Xayah. Xayah, one of his career signatures, has lost only once in her games this year, and Sivir has been a dependable wave-clear pick for sieges. Yunara and Varus are his steady middle-of-the-pool picks: winning, not dominant. Caitlyn has been the least convincing of his regular champions, close to a coin flip, and Jhin, a pick he has played well over his career, has not worked for him on the small sample he has this year.

The pocket picks tell you how flexible BLG’s drafts are. Corki has a winning record, Ziggs puts out the highest damage per minute of his regular champions while only splitting his games, and Xerath and Cassiopeia have shown up a handful of times as mage answers in the bot lane, too few games to judge. His pool is wider than in 2025, when he played 21 champions. For solo queue data on any of these picks, start from our champion pages.

Across his career the staples are Ezreal, Kai’Sa, Varus, Aphelios and Xayah, with Zeri and Lucian close behind; Kai’Sa is the notable absence this year, last played on 15 October 2025, and Aphelios is the one signature champion where his career record sits close to even.

Pro builds

Viper’s builds point the same way on all three of his top champions: Lethal Tempo in the Precision tree with Inspiration secondary, and items for extended fights rather than one-shot burst. He wants long teamfights where he stays at max range and keeps attacking, not short skirmishes decided by a single combo.

On Ezreal, Muramana and Trinity Force are the fixed core, followed by Endless Hunger or Spear of Shojin and Serylda’s Grudge when he needs armor penetration. The rune page pairs Presence of Mind, Legend: Haste and Cut Down with Cash Back and Jack Of All Trades. The most telling choice is Exhaust next to Flash: he expects to be dived or jumped on and keeps a tool to shut down an assassin or a bruiser rather than taking Heal or Barrier.

On Ashe, Phantom Dancer is the first item every time, with Infinity Edge and Kraken Slayer after it and Mortal Reminder into healing. Approach Velocity and Legend: Bloodline sit in the rune page, and Barrier replaces Exhaust. On Yunara, Kraken Slayer and Infinity Edge lead into Fiendhunter Bolts, Lord Dominik’s Regards or Runaan’s Hurricane, with Immortal Shieldbow as the defensive option; Triumph and Cosmic Insight replace the Ezreal runes, and Cleanse is his answer to crowd-control-heavy lanes.

TipCopying a pro build

Take the item core and the summoner logic, not every rune. The rune pages here come from a subset of his games, and item values shift between patches, so check the latest patch notes before you lock in a build he used months ago.

His latest games come from the LPL 2026 Grand Finals series against Team WE and Anyone’s Legend. BLG leaned on Yunara, Kalista and Ashe across those games, with Xayah and Caitlyn also drafted, which shows the pool is deep enough that opponents cannot ban him out of the bot lane.

Viper’s LoL career, from Hanwha Life to Bilibili Gaming

Viper’s pro career started at Hanwha Life Esports, which he joined on 17 June 2020 for a short stint that ended on 23 August 2020. The move that made his name came next: he signed with EDward Gaming on 9 January 2021 and won the LPL 2021 Summer Playoffs and Worlds 2021 in his first year in China.

He stayed at EDG until 5 November 2022, then returned to Hanwha Life Esports on 18 January 2023. That second spell lasted until 9 November 2025 and turned HLE into a trophy-winning organization, with the LCK 2024 Summer Playoffs, the LCK Cup 2025 and First Stand 2025 all coming in that stretch.

On 15 December 2025 he joined Bilibili Gaming, his second LPL organization. His first year there has been the most successful of his career by title count, which makes the move one of the clearest wins of the 2025–26 offseason.

Achievements

The Worlds 2021 title with EDward Gaming is the result that defines Viper’s standing, and it remains the crown on a list that now spans two regions. He has won domestic playoff titles in both the LPL and the LCK, which few bot laners can claim.

His recent international record is just as strong. He won First Stand in 2025 with Hanwha Life Esports and again in 2026 with BLG, back-to-back titles with two different organizations. In 2026 he has added the LPL 2026 Split 1 Playoffs, both LPL 2026 Split 2 titles and LPL 2026 Split 3, with a second-place finish at MSI 2026 the only final this year that did not end in a trophy.
